The role of the extension service at GRDB has its origins in one of the mandated functions of the organization, which is to establish facilities to conduct research relating to rice, and extend to farmers through an established system; the benefits deserved from such research.

As a part of our agriculture month activities, GRDB today held a mini exhibition and award ceremony at our #56 Village, Corentyne Seed Processing Facility in Region 6. In attendance were kids from neighboring schools as well as farmers, millers and other stakeholders.

On World Accreditation Day, June 9, 2015, the Guyana Rice Development Board’s Central Laboratory was among the newest recipients of an Accreditation Certificate from the internationally-recognized Jamaica National Agency for Accreditation, at a special function in Jamaica. Read more here…
