The Guyana National Bureau of Standards presented the Guyana Rice Development Board’s Central Laboratory on Wednesday August 16th, 2017 with the Laboratory Certification Programme Certificate to continue operating as a grading laboratory for testing of rice and paddy for a period of two years.
GRDB has worked assiduously over the years to maintain the requirements of the Guyana Standard-GYS 170:2009, “General Requirements for the operation of a laboratory”. Quality Control Manager (ag) Mr. Dhirendranath Singh thanked the staff of the Central Laboratory for their dedication in executing their duties which has allowed GRDB to maintain its certification from GNBS.
The Central Laboratory of the Guyana Rice Development Board is also accredited to ISO 17025, “General Requirement for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories” standard by JANAAC.
General Manager (ag) of GRDB, Ms. Allison Peters thanked GNBS for offering guidance and working along with GRDB to maintain the local certification. Ms. Peters also expressed thanks to the staff of the Quality Control Department for their dedication to the organization.
GRDB continues to work diligently to provide quality services for both local and international markets.
